The presence of a photovoltaic system on the roof of homes, with the release of heat accumulated by the panels, becomes highly attractive for pigeon nesting. Nests and guano present between the panels and the roof covering will be swept away by rain, leading them to accumulate in gutter channels and causing blockages. Furthermore, the guano will attract parasitic insects and pathogenic viruses, and due to its acidity, it will tend to dull the glass, quickly reducing the performance and yield of the panels.
Our innovative barrier allows for the permanent and rapid closure of the gap between the roof slope and the photovoltaic panels, not only for pigeons but also for large rodents that could chew on the electrical cables near the panels.
The fixing is carried out with a practical clamp that, in addition to safeguarding the warranty of the panels, allows for disassembly for maintenance. It can still be mounted with double-sided adhesive, silicone, or screws (this voids the warranty of the panels).
Phase 1: Install the BF1000 comb on the panel by adapting the teeth to the roof and using the step to lock it under the panel.
Phase 2: Use two MORS01/metre clamps for fastening.
Phase 3: In the presence of obstacles such as the anchoring structure of the panels, mount the BF1000 comb on both sides of the obstacle.
Phase 4: Insert two or more teeth of the combs installed into the slots of BF140, bringing the latter into contact with the obstacle.
Phase 5: Fold the teeth previously inserted into the slots upwards to lock BF140.
